Framing Your Smile

Though most people associate the dentist with teeth, we understand that the facial areas around the mouth affect the way you look. A complete smile analysis must consider framing the smile. If your teeth are restored but your lips are thin and you have deep folds around the mouth, you won’t be able to attain the rejuvenated look you hope for. We provide dermal fillers and botulism treatment to finalise your smile makeover.

  • Dermal fillers – If you want to smooth wrinkles, dermal fillers may be the ideal solution. They’re safe, highly effective and even stimulate the collagen production in your skin. Commonly used in the middle and lower facial areas, dermal fillers are made of hyaluronic acid. This naturally occurring substance diminishes with age. It can be used to maintain fuller, lovelier lips.
  • Botulism treatment – If you grind and clench your teeth or have a gummy smile, this treatment may be right for you. It relaxes the jaw muscles to eliminate grinding and clenching. You’ll also notice reduced jowls. Gums can be out of proportion with too much showing when you smile or speak, and these injections can correct those proportions.

Facial Injectables FAQs

How many injections are needed in total?

The number of injections necessary depends on the area being addressed and the results you’d like to achieve. On average, a forehead would require 5-7, crow’s feet 3 on each side and the glabella, or space between the eyebrows, would need 4-5. If you’d like to have all three areas treated, the appointment takes about 30-40 minutes.

How long do the results last?

Your results will show for about 4-6 months. If you repeat treatment, you may experience prolonged effects and won’t require as high of a dose.

How much downtime is required?

There isn’t any downtime involved in these injections. We recommend that for 4-6 hours afterwards, you don’t exercise or massage the treated area. There will be no or minimal bruising thanks to the fine needles used.

Does it hurt?

These injections are considered to be without discomfort. You may feel a pinching or scratching sensation, similar to when your eyebrows are being plucked.

Will my face still move naturally?

Yes. Our injections are strategically placed so that you can retain animation. We always use the minimal amounts that will achieve the look you want so that you don’t have a frozen smile or forehead.

What are the costs involved?

The fee is $6 per unit. The averages for each area are • Forehead- 15-30 units- $90- $180 • Glabella (between eyebrows)-30-40units- $180- $240 • Crow’s feet- 25-35 units- $150- $210 • Mentalis (chin)- 4-8 units- $25- $50 • Dermal filler (1 syringe 1g) $700 Please note that the forehead and glabella injections have to be given together to avoid any imbalance in the muscles that will lead to drooping eyebrows.
